Charity fund-raiser extraordinaire Ibrahim Yousaf has finally received his British Empire Medal during an emotional ceremony at Maggie's in Oldham.
Ibrahim, who is 15, was originally awarded the BEM in 2019, but the ceremony was delayed until last Monday (May 23) at Maggie's.
In a pre-recorded statement that was played at the ceremony, Ibrahim said: "I want to thank Her Majesty the Queen for honouring me with this BEM.
"[I'm] truly overwhelmed to receive this honour at such a young age."
Despite his own serious health condition, Ibrahim, from Coppice, works tirelessly to raise money for 11 charities across the borough, including Maggies.
Ibrahim's prestigious award was presented by Glynn Potts, Deputy Lieutenant for Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.
