Two adults and a child were injured in a road crash in Oldham on Saturday (December 21).
Emergency crews, including the fire service, paramedics and police, were called to the incident on Oldham Way at approximately 4.30pm.
It has been reported that two cars collided into each other in the head-on collision.
The main road was closed off amid the emergency response and for investigation work to be carried out.
The individuals involved had exited the vehicles by the time emergency services arrived at the scene.
They suffered non life-threatening injuries, but were treated by paramedics, the fire service later confirmed.
A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “At around 4:30pm on Saturday afternoon, firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Oldham Way in Oldham.
“One fire engine from Chadderton fire station quickly arrived at the scene, which involved two cars.
"Three casualties (two adults and one child) had all self-rescued before the arrival of the fire service and received treatment from colleagues form the North West Ambulance Service for non life-threatening injuries.
"Firefighters used oil absorbent pads and other specialist equipment to make the area safe before leaving the scene at around 5:30pm.”
