The daredevil team from Home Instead Oldham and Saddleworth taking the leap of faith from 10,000ft in memory of Howard
The caring team from Home Instead Oldham and Saddleworth is taking the leap of faith from 10,000/ft in remembrance of Howard; a friend and colleague who sadly passed away in February.
The 120mph freefall tandem skydive will take place on Sunday, June 12, at Skydive Hibaldstow, with the goal to raise £3,555 for Home Instead Charities - a charity that provides grants to local community initiatives, enabling them to run activities and provide support for older people, including local dementia cafés, day trips and interactive activities.
Mick Sheehan, managing director Home Instead Oldham and Saddleworth, said about their challenge: “Howard was a kind, happy and caring person who loved giving back to his community.
"He did an amazing job caring for our clients during the five years he worked for us.
"Sadly, Howard passed away on the 13th of February 2022 at the age of 76.
"We miss him greatly and the skydive is our way of keeping his memory alive, while raising money for such a great charity.
“The money raised will be donated to Home Instead Charities, who will provide a grant to a local cancer support group – a group that was very close to Howard’s heart.”
The daredevil team from Home Instead taking the leap of faith consists of Mick Sheehan; managing director, Liam Mallinson; community engagement and marketing officer, Sarah Shore; HR officer, Paul Kershaw; training coordinator, Craig Sullivan; care manager, Sharon Watson; scheduler, Isabelle Ward; senior care professional, Alexandra Lancaster; senior Care Professional, Mike Howarth.
