PUPILS and staff welcomed a host of distinguished guests to celebrate the merger of two Oldham schools.
St Stephen’s Infants and the Parish Church Junior School have joined together to become Holy Cross CE Primary.
The buildings, in Horsedge Street, will remain as they are but the merger makes Holy Cross the largest Church of England primary school in Oldham with 480 pupils.
