The next Healthwatch Active Health outdoor Family Forum takes place in Alexandra Park on Saturday, June 30
Healthwatch Oldham, in Partnership with Oldham Environmental Services, are hosting the next Healthwatch Active Health outdoor Family Forum in Alexandra Park on Saturday, June 30.
The event will focus on health improvement for people in Oldham, looking particularly at supporting people and families to make changes that will lead to healthier lifestyles.
That might include eating a healthier balanced diet, being more active and accessing Oldham’s great range of intervention services, amongst other things.
Alexandra Park was chosen as a venue because organisers want people to experience and get involved as families and individuals.
An outdoor venue will present lots of opportunities to make lifestyle changes seems the perfect place – plus it’s great for all the family and is known and used by people across our diverse borough.
Activities on the day will include healthy cooking family workshops, presentations in the park (marquee), a growing hub, health checks, diabetes testing, relax and breathe sessions, reiki and basic CPR demonstrations from St John’s Ambulance.
There will also be health walks, orienteering, canoeing activities on the lake, cycling, a climbing tower, forest skills, a fun run, cycling tasters and lots more.
The event takes place between 10am and 3pm on June 30, so don't miss it.
