Lidl begins work on new Oldham store

Located on Albert Street, the new Lidl store is set to open towards the end of the year

Lidl has commenced construction of its third Oldham store as demand for its high-quality, affordable offering continues to rise.

Located on Albert Street, the new store is set to open towards the end of the year, offering residents increased shopping choice and convenience. 

Spanning 1,334m², the store will include the discounter’s award-winning bakery, the much-loved Middle of Lidl, and customer toilets with baby-changing facilities.

Outside, there will be ample parking for both cars and bicycles, including electric vehicle charging points, while solar panels will help power the store. 

This multi-million-pound investment also represents a boost to the local economy, creating around 40 new jobs.

New starters will benefit from Lidl’s industry-leading pay, with recently increased rates having come into effect this month, reinforcing the company’s commitment to its workforce.
