The Stroke Association will host a Purple Tea Party in Oldham next month
Stroke survivors and carers from Oldham will celebrate the Stroke Association’s national awareness month, Make May Purple for stroke, on Wednesday, May 23.
The charity will host a Purple Tea Party where people will enjoy a whole host of purple activities, including purple crafts, a quiz, reiki and a purple bake sale to fundraise for the Stroke Association.
They are also inviting Oldham residents to come along and help celebrate.
Pat Furlong, Stroke Association Support Coordinator, said: “Make May Purple for stroke is our annual awareness month, taking place every May.
"This year, we’re calling on everyone to wear purple and every penny raised will help us to provide support for stroke survivors to regain their independence.
“We’re really excited about our Purple Party when we’re inviting everyone to join us as we showcase the support available for stroke survivors in Oldham, while having fun and raising vital funds for the charity.”
The Stroke Association provides a Stroke Recovery Service and Communication Support in Oldham, in partnership with Oldham Clinical Commissioning Group.
Go Purple for Pounds this May and raise money to help the Stroke Association reach and support more stroke survivors on their journey to regain their independence.
