Some much-needed renovation work at Hathershaw College has been completed.
The Hurst Group, Bradford, were contracted to fit a new reception and refurbish a corridor area.
The results have done wonders for the school, which has seen repeated bids for a new building being turned down.
The old reception area has been completely replaced with a sleek, modern curved reception desk.
The new desk not only provides a warm welcome, but it also maximises the use of previously limited space found within the 70-year-old building.
A large TV allows for the sharing of up to date information to visitors, this all gives the area a more modern feel.
To accompany this work, some corridor spaces have been vastly improved with walls being opened up and new lighting added to brighten up the area, including decorated walls.
The new flooring is easy to maintain, providing a safe, clean, space for students and staff.
Staff know that the new reception area and corridor space will provide a welcoming and professional atmosphere for students and themselves alike.
Principal Mark Giles said: “Hathershaw College prides itself in welcoming visitors to the school, but space in our 70 year old building is often at a premium.
"Working with The Hurst Group, Bradford, we have completely remodelled, renovated and extended our reception area to be a modern state of the art facility with space for staff and visitors.
"With bids for a new building repeatedly turned down, we are constantly evolving the site to make as good as possible for students, staff, parents and visitors.
"Perhaps we haven’t had a new building because we look after this one so well!”
