A popular local theatre group is gearing up to celebrate its 10th birthday.

Perform Oldham is based in Royton, and has been running since 2015.

They have four groups, starting with minis (5-8), rising stars (8-12), shooting stars (12-17) and adults.

Choreographer Paige said: “Perform is heading into its tenth year and we feel like we’ve gone from strength to strength.

"We strive for a sense of family and encouragement, and we love to see the student’s confidence grow with every show we do.”

Following on from previous show ‘Jack and the Beanstalk.’ they are now rehearsing for the next amazing show - ‘Beauty and the Beast pantomime’.

Later in the year they do a junior show with the minis, rising stars and shooting stars.

One of the previous junior shows was ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ and ‘A night at the musical museum’ which featured lots of singing and dancing.

Some of the big musical theatre songs audiences loved included SIX, Hamilton and Hairspray!

When they are not rehearsing for shows, Perform host workshops such as singing, dancing, and acting.

The Beauty and the Beast pantomime will take place on Friday, February 21 at 7pm and February 22 at 1:30pm and 7pm - ticket prices are £6 for adults and £4 for concession.

This will be staged at Trinity Methodist Church in Royton.

Perform Oldham is run by an amazing team and it is an amazing way to gain your confidence and meet new friends.
