Blue Coat Year 12 students took part in an exciting trip to Go Ape in Delamere Forest
As part of a commitment to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable transition into Sixth Form life at Blue Coat, Year 12 students recently took part in an exciting trip to Go Ape in Delamere Forest.
This outdoor experience is a key part of the Sixth Form induction program, designed to help Year 12 students make new friends, build relationships with their form group and tutors, and strengthen their teamwork skills.
This year half of the intake for Sixth Form were new to Blue Coat.
Throughout the day, students engage in a series of fun yet challenging team-building activities, encouraging problem-solving, communication, and confidence-building.
Director of Sixth Form Mrs Tipler explained that this experience is one example of how Blue Coat support students in the first half-term, making sure they feel settled, and ready for the shift from GCSE to A-Level study.
At Blue Coat, staff believe that creating a positive, inclusive atmosphere right from the start is essential to setting
their students up for success.
Last year’s results were excellent, with just under a third of all grades awarded last year were A*/A and 60% at A*/B.
Would you like to be part of the exciting Blue Coat Sixth Form experience?
If you want to find out more, staff warmly invite prospective students and their families to join them at the Sixth Form Open Evening on Thursday, October 24, from 6pm to 8pm.
This exciting event is designed to give you a true taste of what life is like in the Sixth Form at The Blue Coat School.
During the evening, you will hear from the Headteacher and Director of Sixth Form and visit all the subjects Blue Coat offer at A Level.
You’ll be able to meet with the school's passionate subject teachers and, perhaps most importantly, speak directly with current Sixth Form students who can share their firsthand experiences.
This is the perfect chance to explore the wide range of A Level courses, learn about exam board specifications, and discover the extensive support available through Blue Coat's Professional Pathways program.
Don’t miss this invaluable opportunity to find out everything you need to know about joining Blue Coat's vibrant Sixth Form community.
