The Pinnacle Learning Trust will be welcoming Alexandra Park Junior School in April next year
Alexandra Park Junior School is to join The Pinnacle Learning Trust’s growing family of Oldham schools.
The Pinnacle Learning Trust, which already includes The Hathershaw College, Oldham Sixth Form College and Werneth and Broadfield Primary Schools, will be welcoming Alexandra Park Junior School in April.
The two organisations have already formed a working group, made up of staff, governors and trustees, and have established many opportunities for joint working, particularly with Pinnacle’s existing primary schools, Broadfield and Werneth.
Alexandra Park, based in Glodwick, has more than 350 pupils with three forms in each year group.
It prides itself on its vision to ‘Learn, Be Happy and Achieve Our Best’.
The Pinnacle Learning Trust is one of only 33 education organisations in England to have been awarded Research School status.
The trust has a very strong reputation locally and beyond for providing an excellent education to its pupils and high-quality professional development to education leaders, teachers and support staff across the country.
Jayne Clarke, Executive Principal/CEO at The Pinnacle Learning Trust, said: ‘We are very much looking forward to welcoming Alexandra Park Junior School into our Trust.
"We support staff and pupils, significantly improving their chances to make progress, achieve and go on to succeed in the lives and careers they want and deserve.
“We are committed to raising aspirations and achievements across all our academies, through the development of outstanding practice and collaboration and as a result of continuously learning from one another.
"We have already started working closely with the team at Alexandra Park and are keen to build on this when the school joins our Trust in April.’
Jennifer Seabright, Headteacher at Alexandra Park Junior School, said: “Alexandra Park Junior School is looking forward to joining Pinnacle Learning Trust so that we can benefit from collaboration networks between local Oldham schools that share a common purpose for our young people in that they have access to excellent educational provision.
"Joining this network of schools will be an invaluable resource that can support with school improvement and provision of outstanding professional development opportunities for all staff while still maintaining the integrity and independence of our school.”
Matt Bulmer, Director of Education, Early Years and Skills for Oldham Council, said: “The Pinnacle Learning Trust is a shining example of educational excellence, demonstrating remarkable ways of working, a deep commitment to partnership, a strong focus on professional development, and a genuine dedication to collaboration across educational phases.
"Their impact on the lives of students and the wider community is enormous and I am proud to recognise their invaluable contribution to education in Oldham.”
When Alexandra Park Junior School becomes part of The Pinnacle Learning Trust, the focus will be on working in partnership to achieve the very best outcomes for all pupils.
The school name, uniform, timings of the day and much else will remain the same, and both the school and the trust will ensure parents are kept informed as the process of conversion progresses.
Both organisations share a mission to raise aspirations and achievement through outstanding teaching and collaboration.
They are aligned in their core purpose of developing the very best in pupils academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
