This month, Oldham's historic Coliseum Theatre closes its doors for the final time, after the company lost funding from Arts Council England. Oldham Council have announced a £1m investment at Boundary Park. Good news for Latics, and for Oldham Rugby who can now play larger games at the ground. But at a time of squeezed budgets at the Council, and an increase in council tax, is it right that the authority have invested such a large amount of money?
Elsewhere, it's the end of an ear at Roughyeds as Chris Hamilton steps aside after 25 'eventful' years at the club. We'll look at Hamilton's legacy, and hopes for the future with the new owners Mike Ford and Mick Harrington.
We celebrate the success of young people in Oldham who have received Civic Appreciation Awards for their work in the communnity, and an update on the town centre improvements.
