Oldham Athletic introduces strong measures again for this weekend's match.
Date published: 05 May 2022
Oldham Athletic are trying to deter any trouble at this Saturday's fixture against Crawley Town.
Bosses at Oldham Athletic have announced there will be tough measures in place, for this Saturday's match against Crawley Town.
They're banning alcohol sales inside Boundary Park and enforcing a raft of other measures, in a bid to deter any trouble at the recently relegated club.
After a meeting with the SAG (Safety Advisory Group) on May 4 2022, they've announced there will be no pay-on-the-day facility for both sets of supporters.
Instead, tickets need to be bought online before tonight - Thursday 5 May at 11:59pm.
Ticket sales will be suspended from Friday, the day before the fixture. You can click on Oldham Athletic's website for more details.
In addition, there will be no further ticket sales in the Joe Royle Stand (North Stand).
But current tickets already bought for this stand, are still valid for the match.
There will be mandatory searches carried out in all stands, as supporters enter through the turnstile.
Fans are being reminded by the club that it is still a criminal offence to enter the pitch as well as throw objects onto it.
A statement on the club's website read: "Oldham Athletic apologises again for the inconvenience caused."
