The Pinnacle Learning Trust has announced that two of its academies, Broadfield Primary School and Oldham Sixth Form College (OSFC), have been recognised as two of the top 10 performing schools in the Edurio Staff Choice Award.
This award celebrates exceptional efforts in creating schools in which staff are proud to work, based on the survey question, “On a scale from 1 to 10, how likely are you to recommend your workplace as a good place to work?”.
Based on national survey data from staff during the 2023/24 academic year, these two schools ranked in the top 10 of Edurio’s national dataset.
They have achieved remarkable results, ranking among the highest in the country.
The trust, which includes Broadfield Primary School, OSFC, The Hathershaw College, Werneth Primary School and Alexandra Park Junior School, has a very strong reputation locally and beyond for providing an excellent education to its pupils and students, and as an exceptional employer, providing strong support to leaders, teachers and support staff.
The trust also provides high-quality professional development both locally and across the country.
Edurio CEO Ernest Jenavs said: "The trusts and schools recognised with this award are the top nationally, based on staff recommending them as great places to work.
"The exceptional responses from staff demonstrate a deep sense of pride in being part of these trusts and schools.
"Your commitment to fostering a strong sense of community is inspiring, and you should be incredibly proud of what you’ve achieved."
Jayne Clarke OBE, CEO of The Pinnacle Learning Trust, said: “We were absolutely delighted to learn that two of our academies feature in the top 10 in England in this category.
"This is a really significant achievement and wonderful recognition of all the hard work we put in to create a positive working culture for all colleagues across our trust.
"Working in education can be challenging for colleagues in all types of role, and having a clear and shared sense of purpose and commitment to our vision and values is really important in achieving success.
"We also work hard to ensure everyone in our trust has a real sense of belonging, which is a key factor in promoting such positivity”.
Suzannah Reeves, Principal at OSFC, said: “Oldham Sixth Form College is a wonderful and very rewarding place to work. We are incredibly proud of the transformative experience our staff provide for all of our students."
Carol Walker, Acting Principal at Broadfield Primary School, said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised in this way.
"It is testament to our dedicated, positive, and committed team, whose hard work and support for one another make our school a truly special place.”
