The April edition of your local newspaper is out today.

You can find the free edition at sites across the town, and there is a full list below.

This month, shock and disbelief in Royton following the death of two young men following an accident in the town.  We look at some of the tributes to Harry Atkinson and Lewis Meeson from friends, family, and shocked Oldhamers.

Leyton Collymore is an up and coming star in the world of boxing, and we profile the Lees-based boxer as he secures another win in the town. Leyton is a confident and ambitious performer, and proud of his Oldham roots.

Meanwhile, there's disappointment in Shaw and Crompton following the decision to abandon plans for a new health centre to cover the area.  We'll examine the fallout as local councillors fight to ensure the area is not forgotten.

Elsewhere, you've been sharing your best pet pics to celebrate National Pet Day, and inspirational teacher Steve Hill is set for yet another adventure.

We think you'll love our look back at some of the shops and stores in Oldham from days gone by in 'From The Archives'.  How many can you remember?

Plus, our regular features on food, wine, books, and cycling, plus your regular Pit Your Wits Chronicle quiz.
