Climate Coalition campaigners meet Oldham MP

Oldham East and Saddleworth MP Debbie Abrahams
A group of Oldham East and Saddleworth constituents met MP Debbie Abrahams at the Zoom lobby.
It was organised by the Climate Coalition, which brings together 140 organisations including the National Trust, Women's Institute, Oxfam, and RSPB.
Groups from all over the UK lobbied hundreds of MPs.
Formed from local supporters of CAFOD and Christian Aid, environmental campaigners, nature lovers and concerned individuals, the group encouraged her to push for a healthy, greener, fairer future at the heart of plans to rebuild from the Coronavirus crisis.
Mrs Abrahams gave her full support and agreed to write to the Prime Minister about their concerns.
She will feed back the result.
Building back greener could provide much needed jobs in Oldham, according to campaigner David Sanderson.
He said: “'I gladly seized this opportunity to talk with my MP face to face about the climate and loss of nature.”
