Kind-hearted nine-year-old Beal Vale School pupil Joseph Thompson has braved the hair shave, and raised well over £400 for the Oldham Foodbank.
Super proud mum Natalie said: "Joseph was prepared to bite the lockdown bullet and shave his hair off for people less privileged than ourselves.
"Joseph wanted to raise what he could to help the less fortunate in our area, so any money raised would be given to Oldham Foodbank.
"Joseph gathered sponsorship from friends and family and he’s raised over £400 already, with money still coming in.
"Joseph has always been such a caring and selfless boy and wanting to help those who are less fortunate than himself.
"He always wants to give food and drink to the homeless.
"Myself, his step-dad Stephen and sister Lilly are so proud of our little super star."
Joseph and his family will be dropping off his donations at the Oldham Foodbank's temporary Sports Centre base on Wednesday.
