SACKED . . . David Dunn
DAVID Dunn has been sacked as Athletic manager.
A statement issued on the club's website confirmed the news this afternoon, ending the 36-year-old's spell as boss which lasted only four months.
Assistant manager Dean Holden and first-team coach Keith Brown have also left the club.
It means Athletic, languishing in 22nd place in Sky Bet League One and without a home league win since the opening month of the season, are now searching for a fifth manager in the space of under 12 months.
There is as yet no indication who will take charge of the team for the game at Bradford this Saturday.
Athletic chairman Simon Corney stated: “I would like to place on record my thanks and gratitude to David for his tireless efforts over the past four months under what have been extremely difficult circumstances and wish him all the best for the future.
“He retained his dignity at all times and his hard work and dedication has been commendable.
“Dean has been a loyal and dedicated servant to the club and he leaves with our gratitude and best wishes.”
