Pupils' magical read is a record breaker

Pupils at St. Anne's Lydgate Primary School take part in the Guinness World Record for the world's largest reading lesson, along with over 70 other schools nationally.
PUPILS at St Anne's Lydgate Primary School had a wizard time when they read their way into the record books.
A total of 83 children in Years 3, 4 and 5 took part in the Guinness World Record attempt for the largest reading lesson.
Lessons took place at 75 schools as part of National Book Day with around 4,000 youngsters reading the first chapter Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow - the last of JK Rowling's books about the boy wizard.
They beat the previous record held by schools in Eastbourne.
Claire Calverley-Smith, assistant head teacher at St Anne's, said: "Breaking any Guinness World Record is a great achievement and something to remember for a lifetime.
"Schools will receive a personalised certificate so that everyone can remember this tremendous achievement."
