Harmony to run new primary school

Oldham's newest school will be built on the site of the former Grange School
THE borough’s newest primary school will be run by Oldham academy chain Harmony Trust.
Construction of the school — on the site of the former Grange School in Rochdale Road, Coldhurst — is due to start. The 630-place academy will open nextSeptember.
Harmony’s chief executive, Sandy Dixie, said: “We are delighted to have been awarded the new academy in Coldhurst. The trust has significant experience in the effective running of primary schools and currently has four academies, all based in Oldham.
“Harmony has an excellent track record of improving standards and we are working tirelessly in Coldhurst to make this a reality there. We want the new academy to make a real difference to the lives of pupils and parents who live and work in Oldham.”
