£370m for school upgrades
Date published: 31 March 2015
FIVE Oldham schools are to receive money from a £370 million fund for building improvements and expansion.
But the final amount is likely to be fairly small: 1,089 schools and colleges across the country will share the Government’s Condition Improvement Fund.
Hathershaw College will receive money for a new boiler in its science block while Crompton House School will replace a roof. Roundthorn Primary Academy will improve its playground, toilets and staff room, Werneth Primary School will upgrade its lighting and Alt Academy will upgrade its fire door/alarm.
