Firefighters rush to Denshaw crash scene

The scene after the incident in Denshaw
Emergency services rushed to a Saddleworth village yesterday (Monday) after reports of an accident at a major road junction.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Shortly after 4.40pm this afternoon (Monday 3 February), two fire engines from Oldham and Rochdale fire stations and the Enhanced Rescue Unit from Leigh Community Fire Station attended a road traffic collision involving two vehicles on Rochdale Road, Denshaw.
“Crews arrived quickly, extricated one casualty from their vehicle using specialist equipment and transferred them into the care of North West Ambulance Service.
“Firefighters made the area safe before departing after approximately one hour and a half at the scene.”
