Latics' National League winless run extended to seven matches following a 1-1 draw at Tamworth.

The visitors opened the scoring in the 35th minute after Mike Fondop was brought down by Cameron Cockerill-Mollett in the penalty area, with Joe Pritchard slotting home the spot-kick.

Tamworth equalised seven minutes later when Ronan Maher's brilliant left-wing cross found Dan Creaney to head past keeper Tom Donaghy for his fourth goal in three games.

Neither side could find the winner despite good efforts from Creaney and Latics forward Jesurun Uchegbulam in the second half.

The Latics remain in fifth despite their recent dip in form, while Tamworth sit seven points adrift of the play-offs in 11th.

Latics boss Micky Mellon said: "We tried everything we could to try to get the win, we threw people on to try to get it."

Latics are back in action on Tuesday night when they host Eastleigh.
