Oldham-born hip-hop artist UK-Craigie
The brand new studio album from UK-Craigie is out now.
'Keep the Faith' is Oldham-born hip-hop artist UK-Craigie's fourth studio album, following on from 2021's 'Ghosts in time' offering, which gleaned coverage in the UK locally, nationally and stretching as far as the United States and Africa.
'Keep The Faith' is a slogan made famous by Oldham Athletic FC and its fans - a further ode to UK-Craigie's home town, a place that helped mould his character and attitude to always keep the faith and never give up.
Standout songs from the album include 'Someday', which tells the story of somebody down on their luck, struggling to keep a roof over their head, drowning in debt but refusing to give in.
A song inspired by the people of UK-Craigie's home town, it features well-known and respected musician and the artist's music teacher while studying at Oldham College, Matt Lees.
'Just Breathe' is a hard-hitting song over a trademark acoustic guitar, expressing perfectly how a battle with your mental health feels, how things can shift so quickly and how bravado can turn into vulnerability.
UK-Craigie insists this album is a personal journey, designed to help people through the unprecedented tough times we find ourselves in.
With four singles - 'Just Breathe', 'Growth', 'Senzu' and 'By The Lake' - all released and reaching almost 100,000 streams combined, UK-Craigie continues to expand his reach, and in an unprecedented move is offering this album for free download via his website: www.ukcraigie.com, with signed physical cds also being made available
UK-Craigie prides himself in his involvement in community outreach work away from music, using hip-hop and his influence as a springboard.
Coming from a tough upbringing in a poor area, he feels the need to give back, and is involved in multiple projects.
His place as a board member at his local grassroots football club Ashville FC allows him to give back to the community with an annual food drive at Christmas.
He is also in the middle of setting up his exciting new project Rap For Mental Health, which aims to help young adults cope with behavioural management and improve mental health by making music and teaching them to regulate their feelings with the power of hip-hop and lyrics
Known for his sharp lyrical ability, his never-say-die attitude and his unselfish nature, UK-Craigie makes music stripped of ego and full of emotion, hooking listeners and turning them into supporters.
Many see him as a breath of fresh air in the music scene.
