Two talented teenage boxers from the Isaan Muay Thai training centre in Oldham returned from Italy with a prized medal apiece.
After competing at the WBC youth games in Venice as part of Team England, Brayden Watson, who is 16 and from Derker, returned home with a bronze medal.
Tommy Lowe, who is aged age 17 and from Greenacres, secured a silver medal.
Brayden fought and beat last year's winner from Thailand in the quarter-finals after putting on a real master class.
He then beat an opponent from Scotland in the semi-finals, but controversially, the WBC overturned the decision.
Brayden (pictured below) then had to fight for a bronze medal against a Romanian, and stopped his opponent in the first round.
Tommy beat a Romanian opponent in the semi-finals, giving him an eight-count and and winning on points.
He then faced an Italian in the final in a tough fight, with the home man getting the nod after three exhausting rounds.
Isaan Gym head coach Stephen Donnelly said he was so proud of Tommy and Brayden.
"They showed massive resilience, with some of the judges decisions out there to overcome," said Donnelly.
"Their performances showed why they are two of the best kids at there age and weight in Europe.
"We are consistently turning out quality boxers at Isaan, and it’s all home-grown talent from Oldham."
