It's a Cabaret for a Cause - homelessness charity Emmaus Mossley is preparing to host the ‘Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret’ - a special fundraising event this Thursday (December 5).
For one night only, Emmaus Mossley will be transformed for a special cabaret show with a range of local musicians and entertainment.
Performers on the night will include Kyla Brox and Danny Blomeley, Jess and Jackson, Mike Mellor, Iain Mellor, songs from Collette, spoken word from Lisa Moore, and Jimmyduke and his Uke!
Emmaus Mossley supports people who have experienced homelessness by providing them with a home, companionship, tailored support and work opportunities.
The ‘Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret’ is a ticketed event and all proceeds raised will go towards the refurbishment of the charity’s communal kitchen.
Hazel Hodkinson, Retail Manager at Emmaus Mossley, said: “Building on the success of our past events, we’re excited to organise our first ever cabaret evening.
"The Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret will be a fun way to end the year and raise vital funds to update and improve facilities at our residential community.
“We are very grateful to all of the local musicians, entertainers and volunteers who are supporting this event.
"If you’re looking for a fun, alcohol-free and affordable evening out this December, be sure to visit our second-hand superstore to get your tickets before they sell out.”
All proceeds raised from the Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret will go towards the refurbishment of Emmaus Mossley’s communal kitchen.
The kitchen is used every day to prepare meals for the 26 people who live within the charity’s residential community.
Tickets are now available from the Emmaus Mossley second-hand superstore and priced at £20, including mocktails and special show-time hors d’oeuvres.
Tickets are limited to 100 people to accommodate everyone comfortably alongside the performances.
As well as the entertainment, there will be a charity raffle and prizes for the best dressed guests.
The Viva Las Emmaus Cabaret will take place on Thursday, 6:15pm-8:45pm, at the Emmaus Mossley second-hand superstore, Longlands Mill, Queen Street, Mossley, OL5 9AH.
