Oldham middleweight boxing hopeful Leyton Collymore will be bidding to extend his unbeaten professional record to seven fights on Saturday week, May 27.

Lees-based Collymore, who is 26, will contest another six round fight.

His current record stands at six fights, with five wins and one draw.

That draw came last time out in December against Bahadur Karami.

Collymore's bout on the 27th will feature on a Black Flash Promotions show.

Black Flash Promotions is owned by ex-Manchester champ Pat Barrett, who is also now Collymore's manager.

Collymore said: "I'm over the moon with Pat.

"He’s a top guy and he'll back me in and out of the ring.

"I'm so happy to be under his guidance.

"We're both excited to see what the future brings under his guidance."

The show on the 27th is at the prestigious Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Trafford Park.

Meanwhile, Collymore has also recently switched trainers and is now under the tutelage of popular former champion Anthony Farnell at Arnie's Gym in Failsworth (see picture above).

Collymore added: "I love it at the new gym, I get on well with my new teammates and we  all support each other.

"Arnie pushes me to be the best I can be and he’s always working on new techniques and looking at ways to improve my rjngcraft.

"It’s a great partnership."

Collymore has been in fight camp now for six weeks and is training hard

He will be fighting durable opponent Kristaps Zulgis at 11 stone, 10 lb.

Collymore defeated Kristaps on his debut in 2021 when he was victorious over four rounds at the AJ Bell Stadium in Manchester.

Collymore would like to thank all his family, friends, supporters and sponsors for the continued support on his journey.
