Derby delight for Santos

Action from the Rhodes Cup as Village Manchester (red shirts) secured a 3-2 victory against fellow Division One team Mellor
Despite some horrendous weather prior to the weekend, Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League's clubs managed to get the bulk of its matches played, which involved a mixture of domestic cup and league fixtures.
In Division Three, Woodhouses came out on top of a mid-table game at Whalley Range by 3-1.
Santos won the local derby away at AFC Oldham Reserves, also by 3-1.
The hosts took the lead on the half hour, while a penalty converted by Ryan McConkie right on half time gained parity for Santos.
Another McConkie strike and one from David Clegg late on secured all three points for the visitors.
Mellor thirds continue to rule the roost in Division A, but were given a good contest by AFC Oldham thirds in a 5-3 win.
