Action in outside cup competitions saw more success for Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League teams as they look to match up with Moston Brook and Village Manchester in county cup competitions.
In the North West Inter League Cup between teams in the top divisions of the L and C and the LAL, it is now down to the last four with each league having two teams through to the semi-final draw.
Moston Brook were already through and they are joined by Irlam Steel Rangers, who had a comfortable 7-0 cruise over Whitworth Valley.
The draw will also feature Ashtonians from the LAL.
It was much closer in the other tie between Salford Vics and Chaddertonians, with Vics coming back from losing two early goals to draw level.
However, in the end Chaddertonians went through 4-3.
In Premier Division action, Old Stretfordians kept up their hot run of form in a close 4-3 win at Abacus Media and Shaw Athletic shared four goals with Rochdalians.
Chadderton Park stay in fourth place in Division One with a 3-1 defeat at Bury Ams, but Village Manchester, with games in hand, stay in the mix with a 2-1 win at Elton Lib Hargreaves.
Elsewhere, AFC Oldham beat Didsbury 4-3.
In Division Three, Spurley Hey were the big hitters on the day with a 9-0 win over AFC Oldham reserves, moving them into second place on goal difference.
They are level on points with non-playing Staly Lions and Saddleworth 3D, who beat Woodhouse 3-1.
Santos have been scoring goals for fun this season, but they were frozen out 1-0 at Old Strets reserves who scored the only goal of the game just before the break to drop Santos out of the top four.
