There was plenty of drama and a few shocks in a busy programme of Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur Football League and cup action.
Moston Brook continue to fly the flag for the league with a great 3-2 win at Preston Wanderers in the Lancashire Amateur Cup as they made it through to the last four.
Domestic Rhodes Cup action also saw plenty of drama.
There were two games involving teams in Division One and Village Manchester repeated their Manchester Amateur Cup final win as they knocked out Chadderton Park 3-2, while Bedians had a comfortable passage with a 4-0 win at Elton Lib Hargreaves.
Limited action in the Premier Division saw Salford Vics dent Shaw Athletic’s title hoes with a hard-working 3-2 win.
In Division One, there was also just one game, but it saw High Lane bounce back to the top of the table as they trounced Stoconians 6-0.
There was more action in Division Two with wins for R-Kix FC by 2-1 at AFC Oldham, Aldermere 4-2 hosting Holley Bridge Celtic and Abacus Media reserves by 5-2 at Poynton JFC.
Altrincham Hale were the big hitters in Division A with a big 8-3 win at Oldham Saints.
In Division B, AFC Oldham thirds found their shooting boots, beating Saddleworth 3D reserves 6-0.
