Oldham super middleweight boxing prospect Leyton Collymore extended his perfect professional record to five wins from five at the weekend.
On Saturday night at the AJ Bell Stadium in Eccles, 25-year-old Collymore produced an impressive display of boxing against another tough, durable opponent in Russia's Vasif Mamedov.
Collymore was top of the bill on Gary Booth's Manchester 31 Promotions show, and certainly didn’t disappoint his loyal and ever-growing band of supporters.
He looked calm and in control even though the game Mamedov definitely came to spoil the party.
Collymore was just too slick, using his footwork and quick reactions to move out of the way of Mamedov's attacks.
Collymore looked in control from the first bell and showed everyone again why he is being tipped to gain major honours in the not-too-distant future.
The Team Collymore fans were in fine form as they cheered their man on to victory.
The referee scored the six-round bout 60-54 in favour of Collymore.
This latest victory will now hopefully set rising star Collymore up for a bigger fight towards the end of the year.
