Woody And Wool set to bring laughter to the hills

Date published: 06 August 2021

Saddleworth's Off The Rails Comedy Club is continuing its fightback against the doom and gloom of the last 18 months with another three top notch comedy shows this month.

Next Friday (August 13) sees Have I Got News For You presenter Kiri Pritchard-McLean joined by another secret, special guest.

The Off The Rails team are keeping schtum for now, but the last big surprise guest, in May, was none other than Jason Manford!

Wacky Woody's World Of Magic then lands on the afternoon of Saturday, August 14.

Woody, with faithful hound Robbie, is on a mission from the Magic Circle to get a new trick from every country in the world.

Comedy, magic and even a bit of education for all the family is guaranteed, but it's particularly funny if you're aged between four and eight.

The fun starts at 3pm and tickets are priced at £9, or only £28 for a family of four.

The proceedings take on a distinctly more grown up flavour on Sunday, August 29.

There can't be many comedians who have lent their voices to Frankie Boyle's podcast and a Disney film, but Glenn Wool has.

The Vancouver-born comedian has found new fans from his Netflix show, No Man's Land, as well as popping up on the usual TV shows and all the major UK music festivals.

If you haven't seen Glenn yet, then head to Off The Rails prepared for thought provoking, intelligent, devastatingly funny comedy with an everyman appeal.

Leeds-based master of quirkiness Peter Brush opens the show, newcomer Tal Davies takes the middle spot and former Chaddertonian Alex Boardman fulfills the compering duties

All the above shows take place in the upstairs function room at The Royal George in Greenfield.
