Couple on a date apprehended by GMP Transport Unit

Greater Manchester Police’s Transport Unit have boosted their officer presence on the Oldham to Rochdale Metrolink line as crime and anti-social behaviour appear to be on the increase.
Over the weekend it was revealed that a courting couple were apprehended.
A post on the GMP Oldham Central Facebook page read: “Due to a rise in crime on Oldham-Rochdale line, the Transport Unit have increased patrols.
“A couple on a date were seen acting suspiciously on a tram by plain-clothes police.
“Their date was ruined when we found out both had warrants out for their arrest.”
