First Manchester local bus timetable changes effective from tomorrow
Date published: 30 January 2021
The bus timetable alterations are largely to frequencies
First Manchester is introducing timetable changes to most bus services from tomorrow (Sunday).
The alterations are largely to frequencies, although there is one change to the network.
Service 182 Rochdale-Shaw-Manchester will no longer serve the section of route between Shaw and Rochdale.
This will be replaced by Service 408 running between Oldham-Buckstones, which will now be extended to and from Rochdale.
A Sunday evening service will also operate every two hours.
The V4 Vantage service from Ellenbrook to Manchester and MRI is withdrawn with alternative travel available on the V1 service.
Guy Warren, Network Manager, Operations at First Manchester, said: “The services changes we’re making are in response to the reduction in passenger demand during lockdown and have been agreed with the local transport authority.
"We are doing all we can to ensure there are services to enable key workers to travel when they need to, and for anyone needing to make an essential journey only, which is the Government guidance on using public transport at the moment.”
