£11,000 raised by Dovestone WI for families in need

The campaign has raised over £11,000
Industrious Dovestone WI have raised a staggering £11,000 in donations for their 'Fabric into Food' initiative of reusable face coverings.
The proud members say every penny has been turned into food for struggling families and local foodbanks.
The cotton face coverings are available in adult and children sizes for a minimum £2 donation. Or they can be obtained at these outlets or on-line plus Hard of Hearing stickers which stick to both fabric and disposable masks:
- Delph: Little Owl Farm Shop ; Delph Chippy; Saddleworth Craft & Co.
- Diggle: Saddleworth Country Store; Diggle Lock Cafe; Diggle Chippy.
- Greenfield: Station Brew; Well-I-Hole Farm Shop.
- Uppermill: Reclamation Rooms;Gift for all Seasons; Weaver & Wilde Cafe.
- Mossley: Brew on the Brow.
January’s Zoom meeting welcomed rugby hero Kevin Sinfield inspirational talk on his 7-in-7 marathon challenge to raise £77,777 for his friend Rob Burrows and for the Motor Neurone Disease Association which resulted in raising an incredible 2.7 million pounds raised in a week.

Dovestone WI monthly members' Zoom meetings will continue on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7.30pm. You can visit their website and Facebook page for planned speakers and activities. Members will be notified in advance of each meeting by email.
