The tree fell onto headstones in Chadderton
A tree has fallen onto headstones in Chadderton Ceremony after 50mph winds hit Oldham over the weekend.
The tree was uprooted during high winds on Saturday, which saw Storm Dennis hit Oldham and the north-west. The storm brought strong winds and persistent rain to the area for most of Saturday, with thunder and lightning on Sunday evening.
Whilst the yellow weather warnings across the town have been lifted, the Met Office have issued a rare red weather warning for rain in parts of South Wales.
Red warnings are issued when it is highly likely the weather will cause a high level of impact, and this is the first red warning for rain the Met Office has issued since December 2015.
Scattered showers expected for Oldham on Monday morning. These should die out later, but it will remain windy.
