Fifth arrest following fatal shooting

Police have made a fifth arrest in connection with a fatal shooting in Ashton.
At around 4.50pm on Wednesday, June 13, police were called to reports that a man had been shot on Birch Street.
Thirty-one-year-old Luke Paul Graham, was taken to hospital where he sadly died from his injuries.
Another man in his 20s later presented himself at hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg and following treatment has been discharged.
Two firearms warrants were executed on Wednesday and one took place yesterday (Thursday).
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.
Detective Chief Inspector Alan Clitherow of GMP’s Major Incident Team, said: “In the past week since this horrendous incident happened, our officers have been working tirelessly to establish how Luke lost his life.
“We are continuing to support the family through this difficult time and they are in our thoughts as we continue our enquiries.
“We want to give this family the answers they deserve, which is why it’s vital for people to share any information they have about that afternoon with police.
