Harriers run riot in Red Rose

OLDHAM and Royton Harriers celebrated a win double in the Red Rose Cross-Country League at Leigh.
Christopher Brown claimed first place in the under-15 boys’ race in 12 minutes 13 seconds and Adam Howard won the under-17s event in 17:11. Howard was followed by Matthew Shaughnessy, who ran a fine race in third (17:23).
Alex Leslie was 18th (20:53), Nathan Hilditch 19th (20:58) and Jack Edmonson 21st (21:17). The team finished second on the day.
In behind Brown in the under-15s race, Joshua Lamanna was 10th (13:08) and Ellis Goldiw 27th (15:12). The Harriers team was third overall.
