MOSSLEY got their Evo-Stik League Division One North to a flying start with a thumping 5-2 win at Kendal Town.
And the Lilywhites secured their morale-boosting win the hard way, roaring back from 2-1 behind at the interval at Parkside Road.
Former Athletic midfielder Jack Touhy got his Mossley debut off to a dream start with a second minute opener, only for Connor Gaul and Aaron Taylor to strike as the Cumbrian outfit led at the interval.
The second period belonged to the visitors, however, and they bagged a terrific win thanks to further goals from Tuohy, Adam Latham, Sam Gibson and Mason Duffy.
The Lilywhites play their first home game of the season - against Colne - tomorrow night (7.45pm kick-off).
* CHADDERTON also got their Hallmark Security League Division One campaign off to a terrific start as they scorched to a 4-0 opening-day win at Carlisle City.
Luke Heron and Mike Moss both grabbed two goals apiece for Mark Howard's dominant side.
Chaddy have no midweek fixture.
