Bags of fun in the parks

THERE are lots of free activities going on for children and families in Chadderton’s parks in the coming days.
An outdoor play session takes place Chadderton Hall Park, Chadderton Hall Road, from 1pm to 3pm on Saturday, an Xplorer family orienteering session from 1pm to 3pm on the same day and Oldham Athletic Community Trust is holding a football session from 1pm to 3pm next Wednesday (March 30).
There is also an Xplorer session in Foxdenton Park, Foxdenton Lane, from 1pm to 3pm next Wednesday.
Or try family skate sessions with Northern Rolling in Coalshaw Green park, Coalshaw Green Road, at the same time.
No booking is required for any of the sessions, under under eights must be accompanied by an adult.
GREATER Manchester’s deputy police and crime commissioner Jim Battle will be the guest speaker at the next Chadderton Home Watch meeting. It takes place at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre, Burnley Street, at 7.30 on April 12.
FULLCIRCLE North-West is holding a disco for seven to 11 year olds at Yew Tree After School Club, Alcester Street, from 6pm to 7.30pm on April 9. Tickets £4.
SPRING Surprise will be the title of the demonstration by Jackie Walker at the next meeting of Chadderton Floral Art Society on April 14. It takes place at St John Ambulance Centre, Busk Road, at 7pm, visitors £5.
THE RSPCA is holding a drop-in mobile clinic at the Ancora Car Park, Broadway, from 8.30am to 1.30pm on April 20. People on benefits/low income can get for their pets low cost health checks, vaccinations, worm/flea treatments and microchipping.
