NEWMAN College, Broadway, is holding a fundraising day in aid of the charity Refugee Response on Friday.
The college hopes to raise £6,000 and activities include a non-uniform day. Each pupil is encouraged to donate £5.

TWO people had their cars seized by police in Kent Avenue and Madeley Drive for driving without insurance.
PATCHWORK Parade, Russell Street, is among the shops taking part in the national Sew Saturday event on October 17.
It will be holding demonstrations, giveaways, refreshments and a fabric sale. Owner Phil Langford said: “We are looking forward to welcoming customers old and new, and hope our local stitchers will get involved.
