Football coaching

CHADDERTON Park FC are running free football coaching for nursery age children and girls under 10 at Clayton Playing Fields from 10 to 11am on Saturdays.
TWO generators and money were stolen in a burglary at Fernhurst Street Allotments some time on June 16 and 17.
PLANNING permission has been granted to raise the height of a house at 58 Cathedral Road to create a second floor, and for a single-storey rear extension.
CHILDREN aged five to 11 can take part in the “Record Breakers”-themed summer reading challenge at Chadderton Library, Burnley Street. They receive a medal for reading five books and there are lots of gifts to collect. Register at the library.
CANCER Aid Network held a remembrance service at South Chadderton Methodist Church, Thompson Lane.
WANT to take up running? Radclyffe Athletics Centre, Hunt Lane, runs a running club from 6 to 7pm on Tuesdays. It is suitable for beginners and costs £1, free for Oldham Community Leisure members. For information contact Gaynor on 0161-621 7163.
YEAR 6 pupils from Burnley Brow Primary School, Victoria Street, enjoyed a visit to Chester Zoo.
HELP North Chadderton School, Chadderton Hall Road, raise money for sports equipment at its summer festival from 1 to 4pm on July 14. Attractions include a funfair, games and stalls.
