Jungle fun

CHILDREN can get a free copy of the book “Rumble in the Jungle” and take part in lots of jungle-themed activities at Chadderton Library, Burnley Street, on June 9.
The fun runs from 2 to 3pm as part of National Bookstart Week.

Newman College pupils tried different types of mint tea, planted fruit and herbs and learned how to propagate plants. The horticultural fun was part of the RHS edible leaves and flowers initiative.
