ROYTON Townswomen’s Guild will host its committee nominations evening tomorrow at Royton Town Hall.
The meeting, which starts at 7.30pm, will also include a talk on aloe vera products by Emma Smalley. Entrance costs £2 for members and £3 for visitors, including refreshments.
A PLANNING application for a multi-use games area with footpath and fencing at land adjacent to Royton Cricket Club, Thorp Road, has been submitted.
VOLUNTEERS are wanted to help run the four rainbow units, five brownie units and three Guide units in Royton. Volunteers need to be women or girls aged 14 plus. For more information visit www.girlguiding.org.uk/get_involved
LOCAL Royton artist Robert Lees is hosting his third exhibition of landscape paintings at Royton Library all this month. The painter is showcasing 18 prints of his work, which include scenes from Royton, Saddleworth and Chadderton.
ENJOY bedtime stories with storyteller Rogan Mills at Royton Library tonight from 6 to 7.
TICKETS are now on sale for Crompton and Royton Rotary Club’s “Friday Night is Our Music Night” at St Anne’s Church, Royton, on March 11. The event, which starts at 7.30pm, features hit songs from various musicals, canapes and a glass of wine. Proceeds will go to Dr Kershaw’s Hospice. FIR Lane Methodist Church Crafters group will be selling off their excess materials to raise church funds on Saturday, February 27, from 10am to noon.
