BUDDING medics can learn about diabetes, shock, burns, scalds, broken bones, heart attack, cuts and grazes during a junior first-aid course at Royton Sports Centre on Tuesday, October 27.
The free training session, funded by Royton district councillors, is designed to teach children, aged eight to 16, about how to react to injuries and summon expert help. To book a place on the session, which runs from 12.30 to 4pm, contact OCL on 0161-207 7000.
AN application has been submitted for a single-storey rear extension at 11 Kevin Avenue, Royton.

KIDS can enjoy a half-term sports camp at Oldham Academy North, Broadway, Royton, every day from Monday, October 26, to Friday, October 30. Open from 10am to 3pm, the camp will feature sports, games and Hallowe’en activities for children aged eight to 16. Entrance is £4 a day/£16 for the week.
