FIND out more about local services at a Spring into Shaw and Crompton community market place this afternoon at Shaw Lifelong learning Centre, High Street, until 6.30pm.
Claim a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a prize and watch circus skills. The event is funded by the Shaw and Crompton ward councillors.
THE AGE UK Shaw lunch club meets tomorrow at St Paul’s Methodist Church, Rochdale Road, Shaw, 11.30am to 2.30pm.
BOOK a fundraising treatment on Saturday during the Ashley Livesey “Team Ash” Charity Day at Sports Physio UK, Market Street, Shaw, from 9am to 6pm. Massage, gel nails, reflexology and reiki are available. All proceeds go towards a community defibrillator.
ENJOY bedtime stories at Crompton Library, Farrow Street East, with storyteller Rogan Mills, on Tuesday, March 22,. Children can bring their PJs and teddy and a light supper will be served after the event.
SHAW’S Royal British Legion Bowling Club, off Farrow Street, is celebrating after receiving a £300 grant from Shaw and Crompton Parish Council for improvements to its pavilion. The grant application form can be found at howardsykes.mycouncillor.org.uk.
HIGHER Park in Shaw will be closed temporarily on March 20 and 27 to enable a new water service connection. The park will be closed from its junction at Milnrow Road for 60 metres.
PARENTS of pupils at Crompton House are reminded that the school in Rochdale Road, Shaw, will close for the Easter holidays on Thursday, March 24, at 12.25pm. There will also be a House Talent Show at the school that evening, from 7 to 9pm.
