Walking groups

GET out in the fresh air and improve your health with Age UK Oldham’s walking groups.

Strollers can join the Scenic Strolls group on Tuesdays at Dunwood Park, Shaw (meet at the Community Building) 10.30am. Active walkers can join the nearest group on Fridays at Tandle Hill Park (meet at main car park) from 1 to 2.30pm. For more details call Age UK Oldham on 0161-622 9267.


MOTORISTS are advised that temporary lights will be in force at the Cowlishaw Lane junction of Oldham Road today to replace a manhole cover.


SHAW and Crompton District Executive is holding two free Dementia Friends drop-in sessions on Saturday between 11am and 2pm, at the Lifelong Learning Centre, High Street, Shaw. Sessions run for approximately 45 minutes.

TAKE part in the 12th Shaw and Crompton Holocaust Memorial Day on Wednesday at Shaw and Crompton memorial, High Street, Shaw. A service will be held to honour the survivors.


POP along to a coffee morning/bring & buy sale on Friday, January 30, at The Salvation Army, Farrow Street, Shaw, from 10.30am to noon. In aid of church funds.
