Bin fire

A WHEELIE bin was set on fire in Alwin Road on Sunday, causing damage to a property while the occupants were out. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
A FIREWORKS display will be held at Crompton Cricket Club on Saturday from 6.30pm. Bonfire celebrations and fireworks will be held at Shaw Cricket Club on Saturday from 6pm.
GET technical with free introductions to computer skills at the Lifelong Learning Centre, High Street, from 9.30am to noon on Wednesday.
A CANDLE workshop will be held by Royton and Crompton Over-60s Group at Unit 1, Kingsmill Industrial Estate, Shaw Road, between 12.30 and 3.30pm on Thursday, November 12.
ENJOY chips and a chat at the Salvation Army, Farrow Street, between 11am and 1pm on Saturday.

SHAW Parish Church hosts a toddler group in the church hall, Church Street, each Monday and Wednesday (9.30-11.30am) for under-fives. There is no need to book — just turn up on the day.
