Bright spark to make final

ANITA Rani was one relieved competitor after last Sunday’s Strictly Come Dancing result show
The ‘Countryfile’ presenter was bottom of the judges’ leaderboard, but survived after the voting public lent their support.
And in the biggest shock of the series so far — after Peter Andre left the previous week — “Call The Midwife” star Helen George was eliminated after a dance-off with Georgia May Foote.
The fact that Georgia was in the bottom two also came as a huge surprise. Perhaps viewers thought the former ‘Coronation Street’ actress was a shoo-in for the semi-finals after her sparkling routine.
But Jay McGuiness remains 2-7 to carry off the glitterball: his performances on the dance floor just get better and better.
The market for next celebrty to exit puts Kellie Bright, of ‘EastEnders’ fame, at evens. But to this untrained but keen eye, Katie Derham and Rani are inferior dancers and good value at 2-1 and 9-2 respectively to leave with the final in sight.
LEICESTER City are on a phenomenal run in the Barclays Premier League. Top of the table, the Foxes are two points clear of Arsenal and defying all expectations.
But despite their hot streak, Leicester can still be backed at 28-1 (Betfred, Ladbrokes and BoyleSports) for the title.
Manchester City, who desperately need Vincent Kompany to shore up their back line, are favourites at 6-4 in most places. Arsenal - best-priced 5-2 - are next, with Luis van Gaal’s Manchester United at 11-2.
BoyleSports have Liverpool as low as 9-1. The Reds should be at least double that, despite the impact of new boss Jurgen Klopp, and Daniel Sturridge facing another spell on the sidelines.
RECOMMENDATIONS: Katie Derham to be voted off next in SDC (2-1 general).
