Blues report healthy profit
Date published: 15 October 2015
MANCHESTER City has made a profit for the first time since the club’s acquisition by Sheikh Mansour in 2008 – and despite what he describes as a “below par” season.
City made a £10.7m profit in 2014–15, despite failing to win a trophy. The figure highlights how the club has been able to free itself of any UEFA financial fair play sanction.
The wage bill is down to £193.5m, compared to £205m the year before. Manchester United’s is £203m and Arsenal’s £192.2m.
